Bob and Dan just returned home from an informative trip to Germany with the German-American Chamber of Commerce. While in Germany, they learned how Germany is addressing e-mobility, or using the appropriate electric propulsion for a wide range of transportation types. For example, we found that during the day regular electric trams were often the most effective and most reliable technology, however during the evening hours when ridership was down, electric buses were able better to cover modified routes at a much lower cost. Back at the bus station were electric scooters and e-bikes, and in the background were Germany’s famous regional electric trains.
